Rent our lovely house for your sabbatical! A true urban oasis, our single family home is two blocks from the Davis Square T, yet on a traffic-free side street that's quiet enough for children to play street hockey. Sit on the farmer's porch and sip coffee in the morning; have dinner on the outdoor patio in the evening, surrounded by flowers and trees.
The location is excellent for families on sabbatical. It is a two minute walk to the Davis Square red line T stop, and from there you are 10 minutes from Harvard and 20 minutes from MIT. Tufts is a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. We are just off the Minuteman bike trail, great for jogging, biking, or walking your dog. There are at least four parks in walking distance and three elementary schools within a one-mile radius.
All utilities will be included in the rent (gas/electric, water/sewer, high speed internet, snow removal). Weekly cleaning is negotiable. About us: we are two academics (one at MIT, one at BCM) with two young children going on sabbatical in France. We're looking for people who will love our house as much as we do and take good care of it. We have a one car driveway and can get permits for two more cars.
The first floor features a foyer; living room with two couches and state-of-the-art projection screen entertainment system; dining room with gorgeous table that seats up to 10; spacious kitchen; tiled half bathroom; large laundry room/pantry; and bedroom or study. The second floor features two spacious bedrooms; a tiled full bath; and a large master suite with a king sized bed, another full bath with Jacuzzi tub, double closets, and a large walk-in closet with window that is currently set up as a nursery.
